The SAIS Center for Transatlantic Relations at Johns Hopkins University is the top-ranked university-affiliated think tank in Washington, and among the Top 5 in the United States.

Our Mediterranean Basin Initiative serves as a scholarly forum to address transatlantic issues with the Mediterranean Basin region arising from the Arab Awakening. We have mobilizedan expansive network of partners around the world, working with regional and international governments, business associations, civil society organizations, youth organizations, and leaders to help promote significant and sustainable political, economic, and social progress in the Mediterranean Basin.
