The Award was presented to him by Lord Paddy Ashdown, High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Dr. Sasha Toperich, President of the America - Bosnia Foundation.
In honor of Ambassador Holbrooke, a concert was held that same evening at the Masonic Grand Lodge Temple of the State of New York, featuring Adema Pljevljak (soprano), Suncica Loncar (flute), Vedran Tuce (clarinet), and Dragan Opancic (piano).
This event was co-organized with the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York.
The Bosnian guest artists performed, apart from their standard repertoire, some music of the world - by the well-known American composer Jonathan Berger and Bosnian composer Milan Prebanda.
