Rade Bošnjak is the Director of the Health Insurance Institute of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton since 2012. He finished his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Education, University of Mostar and obtained the title of graduated journalist. His postgraduate study was in “Health Management” – School of Public Health “Andrija Štampar” at the Medical Faculty in Zagreb. He is a certified trainer orientation – health insurance “Analysis of the health system” Medicare from Australia as well as an authorized certified quality management representative TÜV and internationally certified quality manager TÜV according to ISO 9001: 2008 and manager of Energy Efficiency – Energy management in accordance with EN ISO 50001. He passed the examination for Internal auditor in accordance with ISO 19011: 2011, and posses education in the field of risk management according to ISO 31000 and has also passed the examination for the lead auditor TÜV NORD according to ISO 9001: 2008. During 2014 and 2015 he finished the School of public health and leadership in health at the University of California, Berkeley. During his professional career he held the position of the Director of the Health Insurance Institute of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton between 2004 and 2008, as well as serving as the Adviser for development to the Mayor of Mostar, from 2002 to 2004. He served as the Chief of Defense of Mostar in the Ministry of Defense from 1992 to 1998. Mr. Bošnjak also has a distinguished political career, as he served as a Member of the Croatian Parliament from 2007 to 2011, the mayor / deputy mayor of HNC from 1998 to 2001, Member of the House of Peoples of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1996 to 1998, Member of the Canton Assembly of HNC from 1996 to 1998 and a Member of Parliament of the Municipality of Mostar in 1990. He has also provided consultation and collaborated in 9 recent projects and publications, naming just a few : Consultant in project SITAP – Reforming the health care system in BiH, Collaborator on the project of the World Bank “Streamlining the provision of health care services” (role : expert commentary on the materials consulting firm Medicare, support for collecting the necessary data from hospitals in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton), Co-author of the university textbook “Health Economics”, Mostar, 2013 and many others. He was awarded the Order of Croatian Trefoil, as well as the Testimonial of Homeland Gratitute and the Testimonial of the Homeland War.
